How to run it in a team meeting
You need about ten minutes and one person to share their screen. Everyone holds up five fingers and puts one down for each card they've done. For the complete rules and a few hundred more cards, see the full Never Have I Ever game.
- 1Share your screen and start the list at the top of this page.
- 2Ask everyone to hold one hand up to the camera. Cameras off? People can type a number in the chat instead.
- 3Read eight to ten cards. After each one, invite one or two people to tell the story in a sentence.
- 4Stop while it is still fun. A short round at the start of a meeting works better than a long one at the end.
Keeping it comfortable for everyone
These questions stay away from health, money, family plans and anything that could get someone in trouble. A few habits keep the game itself just as easy.
- Make stories optional. Putting a finger down is enough, and the story is a bonus.
- Managers play for real, and go first. It shows the game is safe.
- Don't turn a card into a review. If someone has never reached inbox zero, that's a laugh, not a topic for later.
- Mix in-office and remote cards, so nobody sits out a whole round.
When to use it
New team members
The Get to know you group lets a new hire learn ten things about the team without a single awkward one-on-one.
Weekly meetings
Five cards at the start of a weekly meeting warm up the room before the agenda.
Remote teams
Everyone answers at the same time, so it works across time zones, screens and spotty connections.
Team offsites
Split into two teams and play the whole list. The side that has done more things wins bragging rights.

More Never Have I Ever questions
Questions
Is Never Have I Ever appropriate for work?
This version is. The questions avoid relationships, health, money, politics and religion, and none of them ask anyone to admit a real mistake at work.
How long does it take?
A quick round of ten cards takes five to ten minutes. A full game with five fingers each takes about 20.
Can we play on a video call?
Yes. Share your screen, read each card out loud and have everyone hold a hand up to the camera or answer in the chat.
How many people can play?
Any team size works, from three people to a whole department. With a big group, ask only two or three people for stories each round.
Do people have to share stories?
No. Putting a finger down is the whole move. Stories are welcome, never required.
