ManyMini Privacy Policy

ManyMini (manymini.app) is a website of free party games you play in your browser, along with a few free tools and a blog. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, who collects it and what choices you have. In this policy, “ManyMini”, “we” and “us” refer to the operator of manymini.app.

No accounts, no sign-up

ManyMini has no accounts. You don’t sign up or log in, and we don’t ask for your name, email address or any other contact details to play a game or use a tool.

What stays on your device

The games save a few things in your browser’s local storage so they work the way you left them: game settings (such as round length or the decks you picked), player and team names you type, custom word lists you create, Game Night scores and daily puzzle stats, and small preferences, such as whether you closed the language suggestion. This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us, and we can’t see it. You can remove it at any time with the button below, or by clearing your browser’s site data for manymini.app. On a shared or classroom device, team names (Table 1, Red Team) work just as well as real names.

The free tools work the same way: what you type or upload into a tool is processed in your browser and is not sent to us. If you create a shareable link, such as a countdown timer link, the details are stored in the link itself.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand how people use ManyMini and how fast our pages load. These services collect information such as:

• the pages you visit, how long you stay and the site that sent you here;
• device and browser information, such as device type, operating system, browser and screen size;
• your approximate location (for example, your country or city), worked out from your IP address.

We look at this information in aggregate, to learn which games are popular and what to fix or improve. We don’t use it to identify you. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart; you can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).

Advertising

Ads are how ManyMini stays free. We work with Google AdSense to show them. Google and its partners (third-party vendors) use cookies and similar identifiers to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure how ads perform and prevent fraud.

• Google’s use of advertising cookies lets Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to ManyMini and other websites, so the ads you see may be personalized.

• You can turn off personalized ads from Google in Ads Settings (opens in a new tab).
• You can opt out of personalized ads from other participating companies at www.aboutads.info/choices (opens in a new tab).

If you turn off personalized ads, you will still see ads, but they will be less tailored to you.

Europe, the UK and Switzerland. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through Google’s certified consent message. You can change your choices at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

United States. If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising through the privacy message or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, where available.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The games still work, although they may not remember your settings if you block site storage too.

Cookies and similar technologies at a glance

• Local storage (ManyMini): keeps your game settings and word lists on your device.
• Analytics (Google Analytics): counts visits and tells them apart.
• Advertising (Google and its partners): shows, personalizes and measures ads.
• Consent (Google’s consent message): remembers the cookie choices you made.

Hosting

ManyMini is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes the technical information needed to deliver pages to you, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and may keep it in logs for security and troubleshooting.

When you contact us

If you email us, or use our contact form (which opens your own email app), we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.

The game suggestion form on our request page is provided by Jotform. What you enter there is collected by Jotform for us and handled under Jotform’s own privacy policy.

How information is used and shared

We use the information described above to run ManyMini, understand how it is used, fix problems, show the ads that pay for the site, prevent abuse and reply to messages. We don’t sell your information for money. Information is shared only:

• with the service providers named in this policy (Google, Vercel and Jotform), so they can provide their services;
• with Google and its advertising partners through the ads on the site, as described above. Under some US state laws this counts as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising (see your US state privacy rights);
• when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our visitors, ManyMini or others;
• if ManyMini is ever transferred to a new owner.

These providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

How long information is kept

Information in your browser stays there until you clear it. Analytics and advertising data is kept by Google and Vercel under their own retention settings and policies. Emails are kept for as long as we need them to handle your message.

Children

Families often play ManyMini together, but the website is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Your US state privacy rights

If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected about you, how it is used and who it is disclosed to, and get a copy of it;
• Delete personal information we hold about you;
• Correct personal information that is inaccurate;
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising;
• not be treated differently for using any of these rights.

The categories of personal information collected through the site are identifiers (such as your IP address and cookie or advertising IDs), internet activity (such as pages viewed and interactions with ads), approximate location worked out from your IP address and, if you write to us, your email address and message. This information comes from your browser or device, and from you. Identifiers and internet activity may be shared with Google and its advertising partners for targeted advertising.

How to use your rights. To opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, use the privacy message or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, where available, or change your choices in Google’s Ads Settings (opens in a new tab). For any other request, email mert@manymini.app with the subject “Privacy request” and tell us which right you want to use. Because there are no accounts, we may ask for details that help us find information related to you, such as the email address you wrote to us from. Much of the analytics and advertising information is held by Google and is not linked to you by us, so we will tell you what we can and can’t do for each request. You can also ask an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will respond within the time the law requires.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to withdraw your consent at any time through the “Cookie settings” link. To make a request, email us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Secret Friend for Slack and other services

Secret Friend for Slack, our paid Slack app, has its own privacy policy. This policy covers the manymini.app website only. It doesn’t cover Secret Friend for Slack, our iPhone games on the App Store or other websites we link to.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
