How to play Most Likely To

Most Likely To is the party game where everyone votes and nobody can hide. A card asks who in the group is most likely to do something. On three, every finger in the room points at someone. Then the defending starts.

The deck is already on this page, so there's nothing to set up. Pick a category, or leave it on All, and read the first card.

  1. 1Sit where everyone can see each other's hands. On a video call, make sure all cameras are on.
  2. 2Pick a category: Funny, The future, Adventure, Everyday life, Friends & family or School & work. All mixes them together.
  3. 3One person reads the card out loud.
  4. 4Count to three together. On three, everyone points at the player who fits best. Pointing at yourself is allowed, if you're being honest.
  5. 5Whoever gets the most fingers can accept the title with grace or argue their way out of it.
  6. 6Tap Next for a new card, swipe on a phone or press the arrow keys on a laptop. Previous takes you back one.

Cards are shuffled and don't repeat until you've seen the whole deck. With about 210 questions, you can play for a long time before anything comes back around.

Scoring ideas

In Point on three, the game doesn't keep score, and most groups never miss it. Secret vote keeps a running tally for you. But if your crowd likes a winner, try one of these. Fingers or a scrap of paper are all you need.

  • Most votes, one point. Whoever gets the most fingers on each card scores. Lowest total at the end is either the most innocent player or the best at hiding things.
  • Called it. Before the count, the reader guesses who will win the vote. A right guess earns the reader a point.
  • Title holder. Write down every title each person wins. At the end, read the list out loud like a very strange awards night.
  • Tie-breaker. When the vote splits, the two players get one sentence each to convince the group.

Tips for a great round

Most Likely To runs on quick reactions and good-natured roasting. These habits keep the energy up and the feelings intact.

  • Point fast. A slow count gives people time to be polite, and polite is boring.
  • Ask why. The reasons behind the votes are almost always funnier than the votes.
  • Rotate the reader. Pass the phone after each card so nobody is stuck as the host.
  • Mix in The future. Predictions about who will end up where get brought up again for years.
  • Keep it kind. The goal is laughing together. If a vote stings, move to the next card.

When to play Most Likely To

It works best with people who know each other at least a little. It's even better when they know each other a lot.

Friend groups and parties

Funny and Adventure are the classics. Expect old stories to resurface and new nicknames to stick.

Family dinners and road trips

Friends & family and Everyday life keep it light enough for every age. In the car, say names out loud instead of pointing.

Team icebreakers and classrooms

School & work keeps it relevant without getting too personal. A great five-minute opener for a meeting or a class.

Video calls

Share your screen and have everyone type a name in the chat on three. Then reveal all at once.

Want a change of pace afterward? ManyMini has other free party games that work the same way: one phone, no app, no sign-up.

How to write your own most likely to questions

Homemade cards can be the best of the night, because they're about your group. Keep these in mind.

  • Start with “Who's most likely to” and add one specific situation: “…forget their own birthday.”
  • Make sure more than one person could win. If the answer is obvious, it's a statement, not a question.
  • Mix flattering with silly. “Most likely to become famous” plays well right after “most likely to trip on nothing.”
  • Skip anything that only fits one person or touches a sore spot. Laughing together beats laughing at someone.

Slip your homemade cards in between ones from the deck. If one gets a unanimous vote in under a second, it was a great card. If nobody can decide, it might be even better.

Questions

Is Most Likely To free to play?

Yes. The game is free in your browser, with no account and no sign-up.

Do I need an app?

No. Open this page on any phone, tablet or laptop and the first card is ready to go.

How many players do you need?

Four or more is best, and bigger groups get funnier. With three it still works, though someone always gets two votes.

Are the questions OK for kids?

Yes. Every card is family-friendly. Friends & family and Everyday life are the easiest picks when kids are playing.

Can we play Most Likely To on Zoom?

Yes. Share your screen, read the card out loud and have everyone type a name in the chat on three.

How do you score Most Likely To?

In Point on three mode, the app doesn't keep score, so use fingers or paper: one point to whoever gets the most votes on each card. In Secret vote mode, the app counts the ballots and keeps a running tally of who got picked the most.

Can we vote in secret?

Yes. Switch How to play to Secret vote. Each player gets the phone in turn, taps a name without anyone watching, and passes it on. When everyone has voted, the app shows the results. It works well for shy groups and for questions where pointing would be awkward.

What are good most likely to questions for friends?

Funny and Adventure are made for friend groups, and The future is great for predictions. The full question list is on this page.

Do the cards repeat?

Not until you've seen the whole deck. Cards are shuffled, so every game starts in a different order.
