How Game Night works
- 1Type everyone's names. You only do this once.
- 2Build a lineup: tap games to add them, pick a ready-made lineup, or press Surprise us for five games that fit your group.
- 3Press Play. The game opens with your players already filled in.
- 4When the game ends, come back to this page and hand out points.
- 5Repeat until the lineup is done, then crown the champion on the final podium.
Names, lineup and scores stay in this browser on this phone. Nothing is uploaded and there's no account. If you close the tab, your game night is still here when you come back.
How long is a good game night?
Plan for about 20 to 30 minutes per game, so a five-game lineup fills a relaxed two-hour evening. Short, loud games like Hot Potato or Name 3 Things work well as warm-ups, or as a quick break between longer games like Mafia and Fishbowl.
Start with a talking game while people arrive, put the most active game in the middle when energy is highest, and finish with something anyone can win. A close final round makes the podium more fun.
Scoring ideas
Every game keeps its own score in its own way, so Game Night uses one simple tally on top. Pick a system before the first game and stick to it.
- 3, 2, 1: three points for the winner, two for second place, one for everyone else who played.
- Team games: every player on the winning team gets the same points.
- Hidden role games like Mafia and Find the Spy: points for everyone on the winning side, plus one bonus point for the best bluff, voted by the group.
- Cooperative games like In Order: if the team beats its best score, everyone gets two points.
- The host's joker: one bonus point per game for the funniest moment of the round.
Tips for a better game night
- Choose games that fit the room. Each game shows how many players it needs, and Surprise us only picks games that fit your group.
- Turn the volume up for games with sound or a narrator, like Simon Says and Mafia.
- Keep a charger nearby. Two hours of games with the screen awake uses battery.
- Mix quiet games with loud ones, and sitting games with standing ones.
- Let whoever is in last place pick the next game.
Questions
Is Game Night free?
Yes. Game Night and every game on ManyMini are free to play in your browser, with no app, no download and no account.
Do we need more than one phone?
No. One phone runs the whole night. Some games pass the phone around, others stay with one person or sit in the middle of the table.
How many players can join?
Game Night keeps score for 2 to 20 players. Big family? Type team or family names instead of every person. Each game has its own player range, and Surprise us only picks games that fit your group.
Are our names and scores saved?
Only in this browser on this phone, so you can go back and forth between the scoreboard and the games without losing anything. They're never sent to us. Press New game night to clear them.
Can we change the lineup during the night?
Yes. You can add, remove or reorder the games you haven't played yet at any time, or skip a game if the group isn't into it.
Can we play in Spanish?
Yes. Switch the language at the top of the page. Every game has a Spanish version written for Spanish speakers in the US and Latin America.
