Games to keep score for
Any game where points pile up over several rounds. A few favorites:
- Name, Place, Animal, Thing: everyone writes an answer for each category, all starting with the same letter. Unique answers score 10, shared answers 5 and blanks zero, so totals climb fast. Tap +5 twice for a unique answer.
- What’s Missing?: everyone studies a set of words, then races to name the one that disappeared. Give a point to whoever calls it first.
- Dice games like Pig and Yacht. Roll with the free dice roller and keep the totals here.
- Trivia nights, card games like Hearts and Spades, and backyard games like cornhole, where it’s easy to lose track between rounds.
Tips for game night
- Lay the phone flat in the middle of the table so everyone can see the scores. Turn on Keep screen on if your browser offers it, or raise your phone’s auto-lock time while you play.
- Pick one scorekeeper. Tapping is quick, but one person in charge avoids double points.
- Scores are saved in this browser as you go. If the page reloads or you close the tab by accident, open it again and the game is still there.
- Splitting into teams first? The random team generator makes fair teams in one tap.
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose the scores if I refresh the page?
No. Every change is saved in this browser on this device right away. Scores stay until you tap Reset scores or clear your browser’s site data.
Can other people see the scoreboard on their phones?
No. Scores are stored only on the device you’re using, so pick one phone, tablet or laptop to keep score and put it where everyone can see it.
How many players or teams can I add?
From 2 to 12. Tap Add player to add one, and the X next to a name to remove one. Rename any card to use team names instead.
Can scores go below zero?
Yes. Tap −1 as many times as you need. Negative scores are handy for games that take points away for wrong answers or penalties.
How do I start a new game?
Tap Reset scores. Every score goes back to 0 and the names stay, so the same group can play again right away.
Is the online scoreboard free?
Yes. It’s free to use, with no sign-up and no app to install.
